The Covington Country Club is on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, just north of Mandeville off Causeway Parkway in Covington, a mile off I-10 at Causeway. It's an upscale semi-private course, routed through an established residential community with homes and trees lining the holes, over flat land. It's a tight layout through the trees on most holes and a long day if you can't keep the ball in play. The course was designed by Joe Finger in the 1950's, and from the tips is 6,500 yards, 128, and has its share of water, OB, and laterals, a real shot maker's layout. Other than Abita Springs, it's the only public access course of any quality on the north shore.
