Woodloch is an hour east of Scranton near Forest Lake Park, and is a fantastic mountain style course with major elevation change, tight fairways, some amazing views, and well conditioned. From the tips, it's 6,579 yards, 143 slope, be sure to play from one of the four tee boxes which best fit your game. Not a long course, but doesn't have to be to be challenging with the elevated tees and greens, and rolling and sloping fairways. Some heroic forced carries like Hell’s Gate Gorge where you have 220 yards just to reach the fairway. The course was designed by Rocky Roquemore in 1992 and places a premium of shot placement, both on the drive and on approach, and most of the greens are open in the front for running the ball up where they aren't elevated. Very well conditioned course with great service in the clubhouse, extremely challenging and enjoyable.

Great golf course and resort, excellent layout, conditions were very good for the time of year and all the rain, very interesting and diverse layout. The rooms were nice and clean, nothing spectacular, service and attention to detail was good, friendly staff, and reasonable rates.
