The course is located on the southeast side of Montgomery and used to be known as Montgomery National. It opened in 1977 and was designed by Byron Nelson and Joe Finger, and can play up to 7100 yard with a 127 slope. It's a parkland style of course, with some rolling fairways tree lined with water and sand features, and can be a very challenging course. Well conditioned and usually a good 4 1/2 hour round here. Course might be the best in Montgomery outside of the RTJ Trail courses, and has held a number of major amateur and PGA Senior Tour events.
