Coronado Municipal Golf Course

The Coronado Municipal Golf Course is located across the Bay from downtown San Diego on Coronado Island. The island, also where the Del Coronado Hotel and the North Island Naval Air Station are located, take I-5 south of downtown to the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and across. The course is a fantastic setting with views of downtown, the bridge, the Bay, and the Del Coronado from every hole. It's a flat course designed by Jack Daray and opened in 1957. Tee times are tough, some say tougher than Torrey Pines. The layout features large, flat greens, short rough, and palm tree and eucalyptus lined fairways, and few bunkers. It's a par 72, 6590 yards, 120 handicap, and 71.5 slope from the blue tees. and if you can secure a tee time, a short hop from downtown San Diego. If you're a single just go out and wait to fit in, it's worth it, and a cheap course to play by San Diego standards.
