Copper Hawk is located in north central Arkansas, about an hour and a half north of Little Rock, and about the same from Mountain Home. It's located in the city of Melbourne, on the east side of town near the airport. The golf course is a nice mix of open and parkland style holes on land with some movement to it, and from the black tees it's 7,013 yards, 74.2/126 ratings, with three shorter sets of tees. It's a private course, but open for public play, greens fees are a little on the expensive side, but the course is very well conditioned usually, and is one of the better golf courses in the area. The course was designed by Bob McGee, has zoyzia fairways and deep rough off the fairways, small to mid-sized and quick, undulating greens, a definite target style course if you want to score well.

I must say is excellent value for the course. Every hole is unique and picturesque, but also punishing if you do not find the fairway. The general condition of the course was fantastic although I struggled to read a lot of the greens, some of the slopes are more severe than they look! The whole set up is fantastic, and the clubhouse food and drinks reasonably priced. Will definitely be back, sooner rather than later.
