Connestee is located between Brevard and Caesars Head State park in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's a strong mountain style course with sloping and rolling fairways, tree lined throughout, with great elevation change, and beautiful views. It was designed by George Cobb, and plays to 6400 yards, par 72 124 slope from the tips. Very well maintained, bentgrass from tee to green, reasonable greens fees. To score well, you need to plot your way around the course with a three wood or long iron, narrow landing areas, and sloping off the fairways. It definitely helps to play with a member or local the first time around.
