City Club Marietta

Edit this info

City Club Marietta is a classic traditional style course that is located on rolling and forested land that was originally the Georgia Military Institute. The first 9 nine holes opened around 1912; the other nine holes were added in the late 1960s, both by unknown architects with a full renovation by Mike Young in 1991. The course is technically a muni, owned by the City of Marietta, and gets a lot of play at reasonable rates. It's a short course at 6000 yards, but helps you with your short game, and makes you keep the ball in play off the tee to score well. Hilly course with tree lined fairways, water and sand, the upgrade in the 1990s really brought the course up to today's standards. The greens are small and well protected, and the course in usually in good shape, save the transition periods.

This place is a winner in my books. The course gets a ton of play and the superintendent does a great job keeping the course in good shape. A great value too. Flag Content
