Chicopee Country Club

Chicopee CC is just on the east side of the Westover AFB, northeast of Springfield off the Mass Pike. It's a fine Geoffrey Cornish layout from the 1960's, that's always a good solid test with excellent conditioning. The course is technically a muni, owned and operated by the City of Chicopee, but it doesn't feel like the typical muni experience. Very strong course that plays from 5,100 yards to 6,700 yards, our group plays from the White tees at 6,109 yards with a 70.4 course rating and a 120 slope, par 71. Parkland style of layout with tree lined fairways require you to constantly keep the ball on-line, both with the tee ball to the approach to the green, and will be a loss of stroke if you don't. One of the best courses in the area, they always seem to be improving the course and facilities, very well managed. Good clubhouse and facilities, driving range and practice area, all at reasonable greens fees.
