The course is a private country club, but is open to public play during the week if you call ahead. It's definitely the best course in Cheyenne, an old classic designed by Herbert Lockwood in 1907. From the back tees it's 6,619 yards with a course rating of 69.2 and a slope of 114. The scenery is nice, it's very well maintained, and the greens are smallish without a good amount of undulation. The layout has 6 par 5’s, 6 par 4’s and 6 par 3’s in a parkland style setting, mostly flat. Another nice course in the eastern, south-eastern Wyoming area is the Torrington course, northeast of Cheyenne.
