The Chester Golf Club is 6 miles west of I-77 off of exit 62, about 45 minutes south of Charlotte. The course is a quality, parkland style of layout designed by Russell Breeden in the 1970's, carved through the woods without homes or development lining the course. Challenging layout with tree lined fairways over fairly level land, 6,800+ yards from the tips, the White tees are 6,273 yards, 69.8/122. The course is very interesting to play, a lot of variety to the holes, with some fun risk/reward type holes. Well conditioned, fair rates, and not far off I-77 if you're just passing through.
