Chapel Ridge is southwest of Chapel Hill, north of Pittsboro, just off NC 87. Newer golf course that has matured into a good layout, part of a real estate development that has been slow to take off. The course was designed by Bob Moore and Fred Couples, and has a good practice range and short game area to work on your game. The layout is a hilly, parkland style of course with tree lined fairways, is very long at 7,300 yards from the tips, but with four shorter sets of tees. Excellent greens with some undulation, rolled very true, and were in good shape. Enjoyable layout, very challenging with the length, trees, and rolling hills.

This course was amazing!! The price was extremely fair, and the course was beautiful! When I played, they had just aerated the greens on the back nine, but they told me about it up front and reduced the rate. Other than the maintenance, which did not bother me, the course was immaculate. The fairways and greens were great and the rough was long and difficult! It pays to stay in the short grass!
