Celebrity Golf Club was known as Heritage Golf Club until it was purchased by Dr J/Julius Erving. It's on the northeast side of Atlanta in Tucker, off Pleasantdale Road from I-85, or Chamblee Tucker off I-285. Have always found it to be a good solid parkland style course, a little expensive, but well conditioned. The fairways are mostly tree lined, there's some water in play, moderate use of bunkers, mostly greenside, and challenging design. There's a total of 27 holes here, mostly just the adjoining holes bordering each hole, except on the perimeter where there's some housing. The course was designed by Mike Young on land with some good elevation change, wetlands, lakes, so he had a lot to work with. Mostly open off the tee, but there's some forced carries, the greens tend to be elevated, some are tiered and with good undulation. Would recommend playing here.

Some of the best greens I have seen anywhere. All 18 greens, which resembled a private course, were unblemished. I liked this course the best out of the three courses Atlanta. The wide open fairways and average length made it easy to score on. Flag Content
