The Country Club of the Poconos is northeast of Stroudsburg off Resica Falls Rd. Mountain style golf course, great elevation change and views, water in play on half the holes, and fairways that are lined with trees. Overall, very challenging golf course, well conditioned, and rates fair. Not long, we played the tips at 5,900 yards, but tough 71.2/137, requires accuracy to score well, and an understanding of the routing helps as well. They advertise it as a Fazio design, it's Jim Fazio, a cousin of Tom's, and not of the same quality as Tom. The favorite holes is the par-four 16th hole, 420 yards, with the tee box 150 feet above the fairway, a must play if you're in the area.
