Carolina Club is located off of Hwy.158 in Powells Point, 15 minutes north of the Wright Memorial Bridge, and 30 minutes from the Outer Banks depending on where you are. If you don't mind the drive off the Banks, this is the best value in the area for golf in the summer. The course was designed by Russell Breeden, and from the black tees is 6952 yards, and a 128 slope. Fun and challenging, yet not too penal, A good amount of water, a few forced carries, moderately bunkered, and in good shape. Worth the drive when the Currituck Club is $175!

The Carolina Club is one of the best courses on the east coast of North Carolina. The Course Superintendent, Christian Richardson is one of the best in the business. When it comes to golf course management he is the man for the job. Christian and his grounds crew keep the Carolina Club in tip top shape at all times during the year. Whenever I feel the urge to play golf, I choose the Carolina Club because, other than the pristine nature of the course, you'll find no other people as nice and warm welcoming in a pro shop. I always feel welcomed and its just as fun to joke with Superintendant Richardson as it is to play golf and enjoy the comradere that the Carolina Club has to offer.
