In Santee, 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, The course is 7,088 yards from the tournament tees, course rating is 74.6, and a slope of 137, and designed by Perry Dye. This course has a little of everything, but it is very flat, and great views of the mountains out in the distance. The front nine is narrow, with plenty of waste bunkers and water, with the fairways bordered by a heavy rough. The back nine opens up a bit with tree-lined fairways, and each hole has its different character which makes it challenging. Course conditions have suffered in recent years, and pace of play is sometimes a problem, otherwise a decent, but tough course at upscale rates.

What a course! One of the hardest courses I've ever played. The rough was by far the longest and thickest I've ever played. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were great.
