Located, 15 minutes northwest of Montgomery, three solid 18 hole courses here, just off I-65. The Senator is a traditional Scottish-style layout with 150+ pot bunkers, heavy mounding, lined by fescue native grasses, with fairway bunkers which seem to collect, the slightest errant shot. The Senator is home to the LPGA's Navistar Classic. The Legislator, 7323 yards, 126 slope from the back tees, is a more traditional course, routed through pine tree lined fairways along a bluff, then down into an area with a native cypress swamp is a neat change from the climb back up to the ridge. The Judge, a 7,794 yards and 144 slope is the toughest of the three, and has 14 holes where water comes into play along the backwaters of the Alabama River. The first tee lies 200 feet above the fairway overlooking the Alabama River and the skyline of Montgomery. Good place to spend a couple of days, good solid golf, quality conditioning, and a great setting.
