Capitol City is southeast of Olympia in Lacey on Yelm Highway. the course has been around since the early 1960's, designed by Norman Woods and routed through an established residential community. The course has three sets of tees from 5,600 yards to 6,600 yards, we generally play from the White tees at 6,369 yards, 69.4/120, and it's a good test. The fairways are lined with trees, it's well bunkered, and only one hole with water in play. It's helps to shape the ball here as the fairways bend or dogleg. Playable and straightforward course, reasonable rates, and generally in decent condition. Try the FireCreek Grill in the clubhouse post-round, good sandwiches, a sports bar of sorts.
