Callahan is up north of Atlanta off I-575, north of Canton on Rt 140, just on the south side of Waleska. It's an interesting and reasonably priced layout, that's partially open and links-style and partially woodlands over rolling land. It plays to 6,678 yards from the Black tees, 73.0/132 ratings with three shorter sets of tees down to 4,669 yards, and was designed by D.J. DeVictor in the mid-2000's. Fairly new layout, growing in nicely, challenging and fun to play with a variety of holes and shot values. Some holes are more target style of play with placement shots required, others you can blast away off the tee. Reasonably well maintained, interesting, and a good alternative to some of the higher priced golf courses in the Atlanta area.

Great course, but it rained and that put a downer on the round, but the course was great and in great shape. Personally I just don't like playing in the rain. All in all it was a great course.

Small sections of greens and a few fairways had recent aeration. Fairways were fairly wide for a tree-lined course with many mounts and some two-tiered tricky greens. Nice layout, but many lengthy rides between greens to next tee box. Conditions are little dried out, but decent course overall.
