California Golf Course is part of the city's park systems, and is routed on a hill overlooking the Ohio River at Kellogg Avenue off I-275, on the southeast side of town, right before you go over the bridge to Kentucky. The course is not long at 6,245 yards from the blue tees, 120 slope, 69.8 course rating. The course has a couple good sized lakes or reservoirs, mostly straight and back holes, with tree lined fairways, not many bunkers, and smallish greens. It's maintained very well, but gets a lot of play and is slow most of the time. Fun course to play, rates are low.

Inexpensive. Plays a bit slow at times, which could be a good thing. Not overly challenging, but a good course. If you are a big slicer you may have some OB problems on the back nine. This is the course that I tend to play the most

The course was wetter than usual today, but in great shape overall. Greens slower than earlier in the month.
