The course has two 18 hole courses here designed by William Bell in the classic age of golf course design. Desmond Muirhead redesigned the Number Two Course in 1966. Parkland style courses both, tree lined fairways, smallish greens, moderate speed, and both get a tremendous amount of play, but rates are reasonable. They adjoin the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and were host to the LA Open at one time, in addition to continue to host city amateur events. The mountains are a backdrop and the Rose Bowl in view part of the time. The #1 course has large greens that are elevated and well bunkered, water in play on 10 holes, and is longer at 7037 yards, 133 slope from the championship tees. The #2 course is shorter, at 6046 yards, 122 slope, and is a little tighter with heavier bunkering.
