The course is an old standard in Portland, and was originally built in 1931. It's located just south of the Portland International Airport and is a fairly short, parkland style of course at 6404 yards from the back tees. This is a very scenic course along several creeks, with a more interesting front nine than the back. Three par fours, three par fives and three par threes, all with tall tree lined fairways. Nice option for a low budget course in the Portland area with no houses surrounding the course. .Nice rolling and hilly fairways, a lot of greenside bunkers, lakes and streams along the layout. It plays to a par 72, with a 70.2 course rating, and a 122 slope, and was designed by George Junor.

Busy course, the pace of play felt long as we waited on every shot, but was actually 4 1/2 hours. Decent course, nothing high end here, just basic golf and reasonable well conditioned, with a tight back side. The greens were in excellent condition, rolled quick and true. Overall enjoyable experience, good value, and scenic to play.

Has a couple of elevated tees of Holes 1 & 10 and elevated greens of Holes 9 & 18, but mostly flat land with some rolling terrain. Most of the holes are open off the tee, but the fairways narrow down and the rough is heavy. There's a few doglegs throughout, but many of the layouts are relatively straight. The primary source of trouble is trees. Every hole is lined with large trees, and water's in play on about half of the holes. Bunkers guard a good many of the greens here, but there’s no fairway sand. The greens have a little break, good speed, and nice conditions. There is a decent practice green for putting and chipping, but there is no driving range. The proshop is small and basic, but has some retail items and snacks.
