The Mountain Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1999, somewhat fitting in that Nicklaus won the US Amateur in 1959 at Broadmoor East. This course is more forgiving than the East and West of Broadmoor, but has most of the same characteristics. Fantastic views, rolling terrain, mature trees, and devilish greens, made more maddening by the confounding breaks the mountain range provides. A great long weekend of golf can be had at the Broadmoor with the East, The West, and the Mountain. Wonderfully, classic old resort, course and hotel/ facilities in excellent condition.

The course was in excellent shape for this early in the Spring. The layout sits above the East and West and is definitely the most scenic, and longest. Elevated tees, target mountain golf with a few forced carries, tall prairie grass lining the fairways is very penal. Some stunning holes and views here, not to be missed for sure.
