Bowling Green has two courses, both open to the pubic. The South course is the more forgiving of the two layouts, and has the best views of the Blue Ridge Mountains of the two courses. The tips here are at 6,000 yards, but it's no pushover even though the slope is only 119 and the course rating 68.3.
The North course is tougher and longer at 6,364 yards from the blue tees, the whites are 6,098 yards, 69.2/126. It's a more challenging layout with tree lined fairways and a stream coming into play on 13 of the holes, and a great collection of par 3's.
Both courses were designed by Lynwood Morrison, the North opening in the early 1980's, the South in the 1990's.
