Boulder Creek is a muni in Boulder, about 30 minutes from the Strip, and is a reasonably priced alternative to the high priced daily fee courses in town. It's a 27 hole course designed by Mark Rathert. The Desert Hawk 9 is less of a desert type course, more parkland, but there's not many trees, more forgiving off the tee than they other two course, and a couple of holes with water in play. Coyote Run plays over and through the arroyos and is more of a desert type course. The Eldorado Valley is well bunkered, with a good variety of holes. Doesn't matter which course routing you play, they're all decent courses with enough variety and well conditioned.

Wwe got to play the rather tasty Boulder Creek. Really enjoyed the course. I'm still VERY conflicted about the environmental impact of so much greenery in the desert, but it was such a good experience that I almost forgive. Quite BRILLIANT use of the Arroyos as strategeric elements. V Cool...

I really liked this layout, though it could have been because we played it on a beautiful April day when my swing chose to be my buddy. BC has 3 nine-hole courses. A tad on the tight side, but the condition of the course was very good, and the price is reasonable. Hitting the ball straight is pretty important here; if you don’t, prepare to spend some time in the desert and arroyos that penalize errant shots. When value is thrown into the equation, Boulder Creek is a good choice.

Course is looking very good this year. Traps, rough, and fairways are excellent. Greens were aerated first part of week, but excellent sanding job makes them very usable. Tees were in the process of being aerated. Pro shop and snack bar staff were friendly, making this a very pleasant experience.
