Borrego Springs Golf Course is about 2 hours northeast of San Diego in the desert, near the Salton Sea, in the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains. It's also about 90 minutes from Palm Springs. Three 9-hole courses here; The Palms, Desert Willow and Mesquite, designed by Cary Bickler, and averaging around 6,700 yards from the back tees. Like an oasis in the desert, the courses are desert style carved through the desert, mostly flat, nice contrast with the bright green grass and the desert borders. Some holes with water, plenty of sand, overall, fair golf course, straightforward and playable, and very nice facilities, kind of a poor man's Palm Desert.

Course was in great shape. Pace was 4.5 hrs for a foursome. This was great considering the course was packed to capacity this Saturday morning. Rangers kept the pace moving. Course is run very efficiently.
