Boots Randolph is in the Land Between the Lakes area of western Kentucky in Cadiz, about 1 1/2 hours from Nashville. The course is in the Lake Barkley State Resort Park, 30 miles miles west of Hopkinsville, take US 68W to KY 1489. The course is a traditional style of layout by Larry Packard, and from the back tees is 6,652 yards and opened in the 1970's. There's a stream, the Big Blue Spring that comes into play on half of the holes. The course is mostly flat, straightforward type of layout with tree lined fairways on mostly level land, with good bunkering around the greens. I've never found it all that crowded out here, and the rates are very reasonabl for the quality of the golf course. It's just golf here, isolated holes, nice scenery, just an enjoyable day overall.

This course has a creek that is in play on half the holes, and is a ball magnet. Mostly a flat course with no blind shots, on tree lined fairways, a few doglegs, somewhat interesting, but the course was not in the greatest of shapes when we played. .
