Bonnie Brook is up in Waukegan on the far north side of Chicago near the Wisconsin border. The course is a muni, but don't let that fool you, other than the usual slow play and reasonable greens, it doesn't remind one of a muni. Excellent layout, always in great shape, fun and challenging set of par 3's, and a great clubhouse for a post round brew. One of the better values around if you can tolerate the crowd. We generally play from the Blue tees at 9,294 yards, 70.3/123 ratings. Interesting routing with a lot of variety and some change in elevation, there's a stream running through the property which runs across 6 holes, and a couple of lakes. It's just off I-94 at Gurnee Mills, then east to Lewis Ave, between Sheridan and Green Bay Road. The course is ancient, an old classic by James Foulis from the 1920's, but has been renovated and updated over the years.
