Blue Fox Run is on the near west side of Hartford in Avon, on East Main. Three 9 hole courses here, the White, Blue, and Red. The Red is the easiest and shortest at 2,732 yards, par 34, the White, 3482, and the Blue at 3543, both at 36 par. 18 of the original holes designed by Joe Brunoli in the 1970's, in 2005, Stephan Kay and Doug Smith designed and added 9 new holes with five holes are on what is now called the White Course and the other four on the Red Course. Muni in design, layout, and conditions, but pricey for the Hartford market. If you play to a 20 and below, you'll want to play White and Blue, the Red is more for the higher handicapper and beginners. The design is traditional style, tree lined fairways, A small river runs through the course, but doesn't really come into play, but there are a couple of holes with water, and it's lightly bunkered. Straightforward, up and back holes, parallel fairways, not a bad course. there's better in town though like Gillette Ridge.

I do not find anything special about the course. It is not a bad place to play, but I personally do not like the layout. It was just ok.
