Playing Big Sky was a great experience, not only for the quality golf, but the scenery is out of this world, well just about all the scenery up here is that way. It's located about 25 minutes north of Whistler at the base of 8,000 foot Mount Currie in the Pemberton Valley. The course is a par 72, 7001 yards from the Black Tees 131/73.2 down to 5,300 from the red tees, and was designed by Robert Cupp. It's a mostly open links style of layout routed through the ponds and wetlands of the valley here, extremely well maintained, but on the expensive side. Playing this course at the end of a bright sunny late summer day was one of the highlights of my golfing travels.
