Bent Brook is a 27 hole course in southwest Birmingham off I-459, exit 1, the first exit east of I-20/I-59. The three nines, Windmill, Brook, and Graveyard play between 6900-7000 yards from the back tees. All three nines are played on fairly level ground, mostly open and links-like with water and sand. It's one of the better golf courses in Birmingham, and isn't as expensive as the RTJ Trail courses in town. Nice and wide open off the tee, well conditioned usually, bent grass greens, the only problem here is the occasional slow pace of play.

Course was in great shape, has recovered nicely from all the rain. Pace of play was good, service in the clubhouse always attentive. The course is fun to play, challenging but fair and requiring good solid iron play to the greens to have a shot at going low. Staff friendly, rates were lower in the afternoon.

I read about this course in a local guide and decided to take a chance. Boy, was it worth it! This course was in great condition from tee to green. There are plenty of challenging holes but good shots will be rewarded. The staff was friendly and helpful and the pro shop well stocked. I will definitely return.
