Part of the Gull Lake View family of courses, Bedford Valley is sometimes referred to as "The Big Course." The layout features large greens and larger trees. Designed by William F. Mitchell and built in 1965, the course plays to 6,980 yards from the tips (73.5/131 rating). Three alternate tees allow one to adjust the length and difficulty.
The fairways wend their way through hardwood forests and up and down the rolling terrain. Fairway and greenside bunkering is present throughout the course, ready to snag any wayward shots.
The course earned 4 1/2 stars from Golf Digest readers for the 2008/2009 survey. There are flashier courses in the state but this layout has stood the test of time and still provides a fair challenge.
