Beaver Creek is about 20 minutes north of Baton Rouge on the east side of Highway 61 in Zachary. It's a relatively new course, owned and operated by the Baton Rouge Parks, and designed by Craig Schreiner. The front side is wide open and comfortable off the tee, while the back side tightens up a bit with water and wetlands in play. It can play as long as 6,900 yards, the Blue tees are 6,345 yards, 70.2/125 ratings. Nice course, mostly separate and isolated holes with only a few homes on the course as a distraction. Nice change of pace with long holes, short holes, and strategic holes with some fun risk/reward holes. Well conditioned, a little expensive for the area on weekends, but one of the better public access courses in the area.

Great layout, course was in excellent condition, especially the greens. Beautiful fall afternoon, no one on the golf course, got around in less than 4 hours, had a couple of beers, what could be better?
