Bear's Best is in a residential development, like it's sister course in Las Vegas, and is a collection of Nicklaus's courses from all over the world. It's a little expensive, and they require you to take a forecaddie, but it's worth it to play such a quality course with a variety of hole designs. It's 7037 yards, 140 slope, and 72.5 course rating from the gold tees. The holes from the courses Nicklaus designed are: St Mellion, Cornwall, England, Sherwood, Thousand oaks, CA; Spring Creek, Colliersville, TX; Old Works, Anaconda, MT; Country Club of Purchase, NY; Muirfield, Dublin, OH; Shoal Creek, AL; TPC Dearborn, MI; The CLub at Nevillwood, Nevillwood, PA; Mt. Juliet, Ireland; Governer's Club,. Chapel Hill, NC; Elk River Club, Banner Elk, NC; Gleneagles, Scotland, Castle Pines, CO. Extremely well conditioned, great customer service by Club Corp who operates the course.

Played yesterday, the best conditions on a course in Atlanta I've played this year. Always a great layout, interesting holes, challenging, and good service, a must play, even now more so since the rates have come down.
