Two golf courses here at the Marriott, the Nicklaus course and the Meadows, both excellent tracks, but I prefer the Meadows. It's a little shorter, easier on the golf game, and cheaper by $50 or so, depending on the time of year. From the back tees it's 6,900 yards, 126 slope, and was designed by Willard Byrd in the 1970's. The Nicklaus course is 7,152 yards, 143 slope from the tips, and is Nicklaus tough, plenty of sand, water, and plenty challenging, better for the lower handicappers. It's a parkland style of design as well, through the wetlands with mounded fairways, long waste bunker areas, and good sized and contoured greens.

Poor pace for the first 18. Finished 13 holes in 4 hours. Asked starter to move use to the first hole to get in front of the slow groups. Giving up 5 holes allowed us to finish the second 18 in the afternoon.
