Battleground-Deer Park

Battleground is a public muni on the east side of Houston in Deer Park, off the Pasadena Freeway at Center Street, then south to 13th, then west to the golf course. The greens fees are low here compared with the other more upscale courses in Houston, but this being the Pasadena area is right in line with what the golfers here want and can afford in a golf course. The layout is level, with some mounding in the fairways, and a good amount of water in play, as well as trees lining the fairways. For a muni, the facilities are just basic, but conditions are generally good, just that the pace of play is poorly managed. Not a high end course or experience, but worth playing if you're in the Pasadena/Deer Park area of Houston.
