The Bass Lake Country Club is north of Antigo, an hour northwest of Green Bay, 30 minutes north of Wausau in northern Wisconsin. It's an old style parkland style of layout, routed over hilly and forested land on the east side of Bass Lake. It's been around since the 1920's, Larry Packard was involved in some of the design change to the course over the years. It plays from 4,700 to 6,300 yards, and is a real test from the tips even though it's not all that long. It's a relatively tight course, water on seven holes, and a fairly hilly back nine. some blind shots, a little quirky, but fun. It's a private course, open to public play, seems a little stuffy, and expensive on weekends, but it is well maintained.
