Bandon Crossing won't be confused with any of the Bandon Dunes courses, mostly for the expense, because it's a good quality golf course designed by Dan Hixon, and playing to 6855 yards, 126 slope from the back tees. It's located 5 miles south of Bandon on US Highway 101 in Dew Valley. Probably 1/4 of the cost to play here vs the other "Bandon", definitely not the quality of course design, facilities, or accommodations, and not directly on the Pacific, but all in all a nice routing, and interesting layout. The course is a good mix of open, links type holes, combined with holes with tree lined fairways, through meadows, and along wetlands, definitely a minimalist's approach to golf course design. If you have an extra day while at Bandon, it's worth it to play here, if only to lower your average greens fees $'s!

The course was pretty nice. The greens were lighting fast but had some bare spots. The fairways were tight and the traps were very hard with small lips. The overall course is a solid deal, a treat to play!

Fine golf course, nice alternative to the higher priced "Bandon" courses and resort. Fun to play, reasonably good conditions, and low rates, plus the overall environment and setting is beautiful.
