Avondale is on the west side of Avondale and Hayden Lakes on the north side of Coeur D'Alene in Hayden Lake. Beautiful, we cared for layout through a residential community that plays to 6,600 yards from the back tees, 72.0/130, originally designed by Melvin Hueston in the early 1960's, but recently updated. Parkland style of design through tree lined fairways with homes along the holes. Good practice facility, overall the course is generally in excellent condition, rates a little steep on the weekends. Helps to be able to work the ball here a bit with a premium on the short game. Nice choice for mid-scale public golf in the Coeur D'Alene area.
