The course and resort are located between San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach and on the Bay, It's a short and tight, parkland type of course with tree lined fairways on mostly flattish land. It was designed by Olin Dutra and Desmond Muirhead in 1969, and is 6,500 yards, par 71, with a 122 slope from the rear tees. The greens are small and fast with slight breaks, and putt true. There's a few sharp doglegs, which were a little challenging to understand the best landing areas the first time you play it. The greens tend to be somewhat elevated with false fronts on certain holes, and are moderately guarded by bunkers. Overall, very well maintained in a nice setting, at reasonable rates.

Haven't played here for about 10 years and it was a great experience. Beautiful course and great conditions. Knew the course was difficult and enjoyed every bit of the challenge, great way to end a good week of golf. Starter was the friendliest of the whole week.

Course is in good shape and has greened up nicely. This is one of my favorite courses in the area and it impressed me again today. Several traps had drainage problems but rough and fairways are in great shape. Some greens are still a little sandy from recent aeration but were generally fast and tricky but true. Snack bar self service with limited selection.
