Autumn Ridge is 20 minutes southwest of Manitowoc in Valders. Beautiful layout, that with the exception of a few homes is cut through the trees with a totally natural setting. The course was designed by Ernie Schrock in the mid 1990's, and is not all that long, 6,027 yards, par 70 from the tips with a 70.0 course rating and a 126 slope. The scenery is half the joy of playing this course. It is challenging, but relatively open off the tee, but with hilly and sloping fairways bordered by trees, and not really walkable. Bent grass from tee to green, usually in great shape, and at a reasonable price. Full practice facility, good restaurant for post-round lunch, very enjoyable and a good challenge.
