The Aurora Golf Club is southeast of Cleveland in Aurora, off Garfield Road on the east side of town, about 45 minutes from downtown Cleveland. Classic parkland style course, routed through heavily forested land without much in the way of homes on the golf course, mostly a natural setting along the Chagrin River. Very scenic course that was once private, now open to the public, mostly level, but a small change in grade on a few holes. It held the PGA's Cleveland Open in the late 1960's, and is still a well regarded course in the Cleveland area. It's been around since the 1920's, designed by Bert Way, the White tees play to par 71, 6249 yards 71.5/131, and are a good challenge, not a hole to let up on. Expensive on the weekends, better rates during the week and on GolfNow.
