Atlantis Country Club is in Lake Worth, south of WPB, just north of Lantana Blvd, and east of Military Trail. The course is parkland style, with nice wide and forgiving fairways, short at around 6700 yards, 137 slope, 72.2 course rating, and was designed by Robert Simmons in 1971. Course is usually in good shape, nice staff in the clubhouse, mostly straightforward design, challenging, but fair, and reasonable rates, but look for the lower rates in the afternoons, off-peak season.

Great course and conditioning, sneaky difficult, but with four sets of tees, you can make it as tough or manageable as they’d like. There are more than 90 bunkers and water comes into play on eight holes, but there aren’t a lot of huge, intimidating lakes that require carryovers off the tee. Everything is right there in front of you, but the slope rating is 137, which is fairly high and very challenging for a majority of players. Not a typical South Florida course, surrounded by mature pine and oak trees, there’s definitely a North Carolina feel to it. This is the closest thing to a private club that you’re going to get, but without the high prices
