Arrowhead is located in a southern suburb of Denver, was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and opened in 1994. The course features significant elevation change, great views around and through the ancient red sandstone rock formations surrounding the course. It is always ranked as one off the top courses in Denver, and one of the top 100 public courses in the US. Depending on the time of day, you're liable to see a number of wildlife, especially in the evening, when the scenery is also at its best. It's an enjoyable course to play, the fairways are wide enough to contain some errant shows, and it's always well maintained. The greens are undulating and several are elevated, as well as a number of tees. Water is on 7 holes, and what trees there are, provide minimal impact. The course measures 6672, 70.9 handicap, and 134 slope, par 70.

Rough was very high and patchy. Fairways were a little rough, greens were very slow but decent. 15 ft. off fairways in rough was poorly manicured. Hard to find balls with any misshot, even in rough. Layout is ok, only a few fun holes.

Just played Arrowhead yesterday, greens and fairways were perfect! The most scenic course I've ever been on and a good golf course too. It's a course where you don't want to hit driver on many holes as it is just too much club, you really need to know your distances and account for the 6000 ft. altitude or you will airmail greens and doglegs. One course I look forward to playing again.

Wasn't aware of Arrowhead until I found it on Forelinksters on a trip to Denver. Fantastic setting for a golf course, played it late in the day as the sun was setting, and it didn't really matter how I played in this setting. The golf course was in great shape, fairways and greens lush, pace of play was excellent, played in just under four hours, and the price was very fair.

Fantastic setting for a golf course, very well maintained, pace of play was good, interesting and challenging course, but it was tough to keep you eye on the course with the scenery, especially in the early evening.
