Aroostook Valley Country Club is an old classic golf course on the Canadian/US border, in fact the course plays on both countries during the round. It's a semi-private club located in the country overlooking the Aroostook River between Ft. Fairfield, Maine and Four Falls, New Brunswick. It also plays through two time zones EST to ADT, so it's possible to hit a ball so far, you do hit it out of the country or in another time zone, which I did a number of times! The staff was all very kind and helpful. The practice facility was really very good with both a decent driving range and practice green. It's located about 30 minutes east of Presque Isle, east of US 1 on Russel Road. Parkland style layout with tree lined fairways, some very heavy, mostly small greens, and lightly bunkered. From the tips it was short at 6,305 yards 69.9/117 and was designed by Howard Watson in the 1920s. You'd think with the yardage and slope you will overpower the golf course, you won't.
