Image of Annbriar Golf Course Waterloo IL

Designed by Hurdzan/Fry and opened in 1993, this Illinois side of the St Louis area, 40 minutes from downtown, northwest of Waterloo, off Route 3. It is constantly a top rated course in the St Louis area. The course flows from artificially built but naturally looking undulating meadow holes to woodland and valley holes that look untouched, and all holes are unique and separate. The front side is a slow start hole quality-wise, but the back side makes up for it. The course is well maintained, and the price is reasonable. Wouldn't play anywhere else if it were more convenient.

Beautiful golf course, probably the best kept secret in the area. Always kept well from the greens to the tee boxes.

Great golf only 30 minutes from Clayton. Challenging terrain, unique holes, greens have contour. Staff were super.

Course is in excellent shape. I saw nothing on my round that would knock rating down. Price is $27 for seniors with Tee Time booked ahead. Staff is friendly and helpful. Wish it was closer to St Louis. Snack bar is quick but with limited selections.

Played this course for the first time. Great layout. Tight holes are not that long and long holes open up a little more. Nice staff too. The major issue is that the greens are really, really slow.

The greens were in really good shape. My only complaint was that I was playing on a Thursday late in the day and wanted to rush to get 18 in, and I had the slowest cart I've ever encountered. I probably just picked a lemon, but I think it added 10 to 20 minutes to my round. But that is nit picking. It;s really a fun little course in the woods that was reasonably priced and enjoyable.
