The course is a Steve Nicklaus design, upscale semi-private course just off the Foothill Freeway in Sunland. It's a linksy, open feel, kind of target golf, and plays to an overall length of 7141 yards with a course rating of 74.4 and a slope of 140 with four sets of tees. It's very well maintained with Tifway Bermuda fairways and Bentgrass greens. It's moderately bunkered with 50+, 2 lakes, and a creek meandering through a couple of holes. It's routed at the base of the Angeles National Forest and has great views throughout the course. It's a desert style layout, but with broad landing areas, with the real test of the course on approach to the well guarded greens. Decent pace of play here, I think the high greens fees keep out the slower players. One of the better courses in the LA area.

Fun course, but a little pricey. The rough is not too filled in on some holes, but good on others. Some greens still need to fill in from aerification.

Angeles National is a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. Nicklaus designed course at the foot of Angeles National Forest. Pre Q site for LA Open. New clubhouse and the golf was fantastic.

Great course, and you don't have to drive forever to get to it. It has Nicklaus' signature left-to-right play and big wide-building fairways, the carts have CPS, and there's a great clubhouse and 19th hole. Bring extra balls; if your shot goes out of bounds, it's in the protected areas, and you can't retreive it.
