Alhambra Golf Course is just east of LA in Alhambra, on Mission Road, just east of Garfield. It's a rather short muni of 5,200 yards, par 70, 64.3 course rating, and 107 slope, and an excellent course for the higher handicapper, beginners, and women golfers. Great course to work on the short game, most of the par 4's are under 300 yards, and most of the greens are on the small side, so accuracy is important. The front nine is a flat parkland type course with tree lined fairways, while the back side has more rolling hills and a lot of bunkers greenside. Reasonably priced, generally in good shape, gets a lot of play, but generally you can get around in 4 hours or so, since it's so much shorter than conventional courses. Designed by Billy Bell in the mid-1950's.
