Alderbrook is about 1 1/2- 2 hours west of Seattle, depending on where you are. I't in Union, a good driver from the Hood Canal. It's mostly level, but has some change in elevation but walkable at 6,312 yards from the back tees,70.9/126 and was designed by Roby Goss and Glen Poctor in the 1970's. Don't let the shortness or slope fool you, this is a tough golf course with tight, evergreen lined fairways with nice views of the mountains, Sound, and the Canal. There are a lot of trees and houses on the course, but not too intrusive, the fairways are narrow, the front nine is the more difficult of the layout. The fairways and rough are rye grass, the greens bent grass poa, and the rough tends to be really thick. 18 is a great finishing hole, nice views throughout the area, they even have a telescope, not for the golf, but for the views.Overall, very nice setting, good accomodations and rates at the lodge for a long weekend, the course is well cared for, and is difficult with its share of blind shots, narrow funnels for fairways, elevation changes, and heavy rough.

Easy course with a nice layout. Short but a shot makers course. The greens roll true and are typically fast. Great value.

Great golf course and beautiful property, the fairways were too narrow for my game, better golfers will enjoy this course more than I did. .
