The Airport Golf Club is at the north end of the runway at the Cheyenne Airport, off I-25 at Central Avenue, and is a city owned and operated public course, probably the best in town. It's an old course, designed by Bill Joellse, fairly flat layout with some water on the front, liberal use of sand, and mostly straightforward back and forth layout. It's only 6,100 yards from the tips, par 70 with a 67.1 course rating and a 99 slope, so it's fair to all levels of play. It's generally in reasonably good condition, although with the amount of play and the low cost, I find plenty of pitch marks on the green left unrepaired. For public golf in Cheyenne, it's the 9 holes at Little America, the 18 hole layout at Warren AFB, and this course, which is generally the best choice.

Played Airport Friday and the course was in fantastic shape. Greens were excellent. Tees and fairways were nice and full. There were a few bunkers that were in need of some sand but overall no complaints here. Very tough layout and a howling wind really make scoring tough out there.
