The Abbeville Country Club is about 30 minutes south of Lafayette in Abbeville, in the middle of Cajun Country, nice to pop down there for a day of golf, and great food. The golf course is an old one, and was nine holes for years until they added an additional nine. It's 6,149 yards from the tips, par 72 with a 75 course rating and a 125 slope, designed by Frank Godchaugx. Part of the course is parkland, the rest of the holes are more open and links style with water in play on 11 holes, and a moderate amount of bunkering. Nice clubhouse facilities, conditions are usually good, and a good change of pace from the Lafayette area.

The faiways are narrow ,you have to be pretty straight, witch is not a bad thing, people at the club are very friendly and always eager to give you a game if you are on your own. Pleasant course and experience overall.
